Similarities: Both Hayabusa and Scorpion are powerful shinobi from Japan and are known as the main characters of their respective fighting games. They both also have a huge sense of honor, willing to put their lives on the line to protect what they care for the most. They both also possess demonic powers, which they may use from time to time.

Differences: While Hayabusa has been known to fight solomnly for good, Scorpion is at times portrayed as an evil entity, mostly due to his dark past and role in assisting Shang Tsung in the past. Despite this, Scorpion managed to break free of Shang's control and become a neutral entity, usually not taking either the side of good nor evil.
